Do you have a family member feuding with other family members? Do you feel uncomfortable at family gatherings? Do you feel that you have to take sides? Do you feel that it is silly to hold a grudge for years? Do you think the feuding must end? If you have answered yes or no to either question, read on.
Most families units are not perfect. There is usually at least one person in the family who causes havoc whenever the opportunity presents itself. When sisters, brothers, children have been feuding for years and neither side wants to be the first to apologize, your family is in serious trouble.
Imagine burying your parents and not having seen or spoken to them in over ten years. The guilt you will live with will never be appeased.
There has to be a simple way to settle these situations in a friendly manner. Neither person in this feud should have to lose face. The family needs to be involved to end this conflict.
Even though it might be only two brothers feuding for whatever reason for twenty years the entire family feels uncomfortable. This situation needs to be closed. Family relationships are hard to maintain at the best of times, but when sides are drawn, or the feud is back in everybody’s face at every family event something has to give.
Life is too short to hold a grudge. If you were to ask the people holding the grudge why, they probably could not answer. It was so long ago, feelings were hurt at the time and even if they wanted to end the feud they didn’t know how.
